METEHAN’DAN MEHMETÇİĞE TÜRK DEVLETLER TARİHİ MÜZESİ
This study, which presents the roots, culture, and state tradition of our nation—shaped by a history spanning thousands of years—within a coherent chronological framework, constitutes not merely a historical archive but also a cultural heritage initiative aimed at strengthening national consciousness and collective memory. Beginning with the Kelteminar culture, dated to approximately 5000 BCE, this process encompasses a 7,000-year historical trajectory extending to the present day.
The origin of the name “Turk,” our earliest cultural traces, and the legacy of the numerous states we have established are systematically presented in this study, thereby offering a permanent resource through which younger generations can learn about their history with pride. This project aims to make our history accessible not only to academic circles but also to the wider public, particularly children and young people.
This panoramic perspective on our past will strengthen individuals’ sense of belonging and facilitate recognition of the continuity between the Turkish states founded in different historical periods and the present day. In this respect, the project represents both the fulfillment of a debt of gratitude to the past and a manifestation of the determination to leave a strong cultural memory to future generations.
